7 Builders For No-Code Creation of Chatbots in Telegram
In this article I reviewed all the existing constructors for creating chatbots in the Telegram.
I’m not going to write the typical introductory part to start such picks about “what bots are”, “why bots are popular”, “what bots are for” and so on, so let’s get down to business.
All services are ranked in the order in which I came across them during my search.
Services in the article: PuzzleBot, Manybot, Botmother, FlowXO, BotStore, Active Chat, Aimylogic.
PuzzleBot
PuzzleBot — is a powerful platform that is suitable for constructing complex bots, as well as for working with channels and groups (posting, statistics, moderation, and more). Service with a full list of the usual and a lot of unusual features (flexible newsletters, private commands, userbots for full-fledged statistics).
Cost: free tariff (indefinitely, there is a service advertising message). Minimum paid rate — $5,30 per month.
Mobile version: yes.
Personal experience: the most convenient mobile version of the personal account of all the designers presented in this article, an intuitive interface, active support and versatility of features (about groups and channels).
It has all the necessary functions, such as: creating categories from users with different rights, the ability to do the mailing to all connected channels and chats at once, changing sent messages, creating private commands and others.
Manybot
Manybot — personal account of the service is presented as a bot in the Telegram. This constructor allows you to create a menu, submenu, feedback form, connect RSS feeds and do the mailing lists to all subscribed users.
Cost: free (with advertising, where the bot is created). It is impossible to change rate or deactivate advertising message.
Mobile Version: available. Service works via Telegram.
Personal experience: The service is ideal for small projects, but creating a menu of more than four levels through the interface of the bot becomes difficult. In addition, the bot takes a long time to respond (or does not respond at all).
The service has not been updated since 2015.
Botmother
Botmother — is a platform with a lot of different features (if you could figure out how to use them) and integrations. There are a long “palette” of blocks for the constructor, dialogs with the user, mailings, and more.
Cost: free tariff (unlimited, no advertising message of the service, from the tabs only the constructor is available with restrictions). Minimum paid tariff — $ 27 per month.
Mobile version: none.
Personal experience: Definitely a strong service, but the constructor seemed difficult to learn it because of the abundance of functions and messengers that can be connected (something is available for one, but not available for another).
The interface of the personal account strongly resembles Aimylogic (about it below).
FlowXO
Flow XO — is a platform for creating bots for business tasks. It includes more than 100 different integrations, dialogs and mailing lists. The builder connects to the most well-known and popular services.
Cost: free tariff (no advertising service message). Minimum paid rate — $19 per month.
Mobile version: yes.
Personal experience: complex service with great opportunities for developers: connect APIs, configure webhooks, integrations, etc. You can set variables for commands, set triggering filters and create templates for “speech recognition”. Interesting, but complicated.
The service has not been updated since March 2021.
BotStore
BotStore — is a narrowly focused service that allows you to create a bot store. Products are uploaded by Excel. It is possible to send newsletters of the store, there is no menu setting and in general it is not possible to do anything other than store (or somehow customize the store).
Cost: free tariff (indefinitely, the limit of 20 goods, advertising service message). Minimum paid rate — $10 per month.
Mobile version: yes.
Personal experience: Very limited service in terms of additional features and settings. I hoped to pay directly through Telegram, but I have not found such a function. It is possible to connect a CRM or set up an API on a paid plan.
Active Chat
Active Chat — is a platform that allows you to build a bot using a wide list of blocks, including standard (text, image, and so on) timeouts, conditions, records, it is possible to create mailing lists and dialogue with the user.
Cost: free rate (no advertising message). Minimum paid rate — $9 per month.
Mobile version: none.
Personal experience: not really convenient, but functional constructor (it is necessary to add some blocks to create one command), raw beta version (it is impossible to add Telegram API bot through it), confusing old version, which makes it necessary to change constantly the version, little integration. The only builder with a hard restriction on entering the name of the button.
Aimylogic
Aimylogic — is one more excellent service for creating well-known”text” bots and unusual bots for calls (for the paid tariff). There are some interesting, but difficult to learn functions, such as: “intents” and “entities”. Suitable for creation of AI and world capture.
Cost: free tariff (unlimited, no service advertising message, there is a limit on the functions and number of users). The minimum paid rate — $89 per month.
Mobile version: none.
Personal experience: the interface of the constructor looks similar to Botmother (but Aimylogic is much older, so you can guess who looks like who). It doesn’t have the usual functions: recycle can, create inline keyboard, send a file, but you can create a bot that will guess what is written to him.
Summary
There are many constructors for creating a bot in Telegram , but there are few really good ones. From the above list, I can note the most interesting platforms:
- PuzzleBot
- Botmother
- FlowXO
